Picture this: You are deep in Chapter 2. The monsters are coming out of the cave, the terrified villagers are watching from the background, waiting to see what will happen, hoping they will be saved, when... wait. What was my protagonist's name again?Your flow is instantly broken. You're frantically tabbing through your Google Doc or digging through a pile of handwritten notes. Was it Birch? Oak? No, it was a tree... Willow! That's it. Okay, back to the scene. So they're... damn it, it's gone. The whole train of thought has left the station. You're completely derailed, staring at a blinking cursor, ready to close the laptop and call it a day. Now, what if you had written this in Quill Loop? The monster is coming out of the cave and... what's her name again? Oh, right. You just type @ and the list pops up. You hit enter on "Willow" and keep going without skipping a beat. She pulls out her sword and grips it firmly. The monster emerges from the cave, its massive silhouette filling the entrance. She swallows hard and then... a little white bunny hops out, cocking its head before bouncing away. Willow can't help but laugh; she'll return to the village a hero, having slain the terrible "Dragon" of the cave.See the difference? The action never stopped, the flow was never lost, and the writer actually kept writing.
