We are writers, not data brokers. We do not sell your personal data. We use zero analytics or tracking tools inside the actual writing app—your manuscripts stay private and are never used for tracking. On our public marketing pages, we use standard tools (Google and Meta) to help new writers find us and to understand if our ads are actually working. Once you log in to write, these trackers are strictly blocked from loading.

1. What We Collect

To make Quill Loop work, we collect the basics: your email address, your pen name, and the text you type into the editor (your manuscripts, loops, and settings).

2. The "Front Door" Analytics

We believe in a "Church and State" separation of data. Inside the app—where your creative work lives—we use zero analytics tools. On our public-facing marketing pages (homepage, pricing, and blog), we use industry-standard tools to understand how people find us. This data helps us spend our limited marketing budget wisely so we can keep the lights on without selling out.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We use specialized, secure third-party infrastructure. We share only the minimum amount of data required for these tools to function:

  • Groq (AI Services): Powers our generative AI features. Groq does not use your prompts or manuscripts to train their public models.
  • Backblaze B2 (Backups): Encrypted cloud storage for your work.
  • Stripe (Payments): Secure, PCI-compliant payment processing. We never see your card number.
  • Twilio (SMS): Routes your text-to-manuscript "loops."
  • OVHcloud (Hosting): Our secure European-based infrastructure.
  • Google Analytics & Tag Manager: Used on public pages to track traffic trends.
  • Microsoft Clarity (Behaviour Analytics): We use Microsoft Clarity on our public marketing pages to understand how visitors interact with our site — including heatmaps and session recordings. This tool is strictly blocked from loading inside the writing environment. Microsoft's privacy policy applies to data collected by this tool.
  • Meta (Facebook Pixel & API): We use Meta’s tools on our public pages to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. This may include sending hashed contact information (like a masked email) to help Meta attribute a signup to an ad you saw. These tools never load inside the writing environment.

4. Your Manuscripts are Private

Unlike many platforms, we do not scan your manuscripts for advertising data. Your creative work is your intellectual property. Our marketing tools (Meta/Google) have no technical way of "seeing" your writing because they are physically prevented from loading behind the login screen.

5. Account Deletion

If you decide Quill Loop isn't for you, you can request account deletion. We will permanently wipe your account and all manuscripts from our active databases.
