Bookmarks

Mark spots in a chapter and jump back without scrolling forever.

What bookmarks are

Bookmarks are personal markers in a chapter - last spot, a scene to fix, a line you love. They show in the Bookmarks panel and as gutter markers beside the text.

How to use them

  1. Open the desk for a chapter.
  2. Place the caret (or select text) where you want the mark.
  3. Add a bookmark from the Bookmarks tool. Name it, or let Quill Loop suggest a name from nearby words.
  4. Click a bookmark later to jump back.

Tips

  • Use clear names (“fix fix - bridge scene”) so the list stays useful.
  • Bookmarks follow the text as you edit; they are for navigation, not a second Story Bible.
